HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Anna Nicole Smith, the voluptuous former Playboy centerfold who married an octogenarian billionaire and waged a legal battle for his fortune all the way to the Supreme Court, died Thursday after collapsing at a hotel. She was 39.

The blond bombshell — who recently became tabloid fodder all over again after the sudden, apparently drug-related death of her 20-year-old son — was stricken while staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and was rushed to a hospital.

Edwina Johnson, chief investigator of the Broward County Medical Examiner's Office, said the cause of death was under investigation and an autopsy would be done on Friday.

A private nurse called 911 after finding Ms. Smith unresponsive in her sixth-floor room, said Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger. He said Ms. Smith's bodyguard administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation about an hour before she was declared dead.

RIP Anna Nicole Smith you had a very interesting life. Well now you can be with your son.

The Anna Nicole Smith news is getting tiring. I believe Howard K. Stern killed her and her son, Daniel. From the day she died, that's what I believed and it's looking more obvious to me.

Although I wouldn't rule out Zsa Zsa Gabor as the possible murderess... she's been in trouble with the law before. Her husband cheated on her. Jealousy can be a strong thing... maybe Zsa sneaked into Anna's hotel room, dressed all in black, in her wheelchair, and gave Anna a dose of her own medicine? But then, did she also kill Anna's son?

It's still weird to know that she's dead, but I've recovered from the shocking news. They keep mentioning how the poor thing needs to be buried soon because she keeps deteriorating. How sad. I feel like she's in the refrigerator, pouting, angry, banging her fists against the metal trying to get out. If there's life after death, I hope she's reunited with her son and happy.

I didn't know this thread was made. I was lookin in the actors/actress thread which I thought it would be and no sign. But oh well. I'll miss her. She was hot....yes she was heavy at a period of time but all in all she was it.

I agree , too much media coverage...heres my spin on things.
1>make all the "fathers" take paternity tests. Whoever is the father should get the baby
2>from what I have seen, Anna Nicole hated her mother. So she should be buried with her son.
3>Anna Nicoles mother should NOT get the baby.
