I'll try to comment on it more later, but what annoyed me the most was not specifically the movies brought up (although I did roll my eyes at a couple choices), but that it uses some of the dumbest, most artificial complaints. I always hate when people go "Oh, this movie has dated poorly because it uses outdated technology!". You're telling me technology was not the same thirty years ago as now? No kidding! It's especially stupid when it comes to the complaints about computer technology, since computers were really not that clumsy or incompetent in the 90's, they were just different. You can still watch these movies for the joy of looking back at a different time. So what if phone booths are almost extinct? Phone Booth is still a tensely crafted and exciting thriller. And who cares if computers have advanced since then? They still do!
Some of the picks are completely ridiculous as well, Man Of Steel and Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn Of Justice have never largely been looked at as great movies. Neither has The Lawnmover Man, which is kinda cult but was never adored.
And of course Back To The Future II wasn't completely correct about the future. It was science-fiction. Get it? FICTION. Geez.
Any other thoughts?
