Best sci-fi movie since 2000

Lots of love for Moon on here

I don't wanna go into a diatribe on Gravity, but to me, it's just not that good.

I should have listed District 9, which is very good.

Sunshine is a good one. Who's seen that?

Yeah good movie.
It's hard to get into initially, as it's more of a sci-fact movie than sci-fi.
I feel it's the movie that Life (2017) wanted to be.

I've got a list going atm of the best sci-fi movies of each year since 1950, link is in my sig

I think Life more wanted to be Alien. It wasn't THAT bad though. Not a quality movie, but I've seen worse.

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
Beyond the Black Rainbow
The Clone Returns to the Homeland
The Ugly Swans
My God, My God, Why Hast Thou Forsaken Me?
Upstream Color
Aurora
Under the Skin
The Road
2046

Pretty difficult to choose imo, there's been a lot of great ones.
Thinking about it cold the one that stands out for me is Dredd.

That elusive hide-and-seek cow is at it again
Short list would include:

Ex Machina
Arrival
Children of Men
Coherence
Primer
Sunshine
Minority Report
Moon
The Fountain
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Inception
Another Earth
Interstellar
Midnight Special
ooooo I completely forgot about Midnight Special ^.^

Brilliant Brilliant movie and Rockwell was phenomenal *thud*. I dont know why he hasnt done more. Amazing actor!!! Infact I have to have a rewatch toot sweet!

it has to be interstellar, for its grandeur and epicness

Welcome to the human race...
Sunshine is a good one. Who's seen that?
I have. It's like Interstellar but with all the family drama and time-dilation cut out (in other words, marginally better).

I thought Passengers (2016) was really quite good.
Having low expectations helped, but as cerebral sci-fi (no aliens, ray-gun battles) it was very satisfying.
