What are your Top 5 Denzel washington Movies?

Only actually seen Crimson Tide and The Book of Eli, both which I found enjoyable films. Crimson Tide is the superior though, Washington and Hackman are great together in that film.

You have so so much to see. I recommend seeing it now.

Not enough love for Crimson Tide imo.

Glory
The Manchurian Candidate
Malcolm X
Philadelphia
American Gangster

I've not actually seen many Washington films, as he doesn't seem to make many films I want to see. Despite this, I still think he should've been made Bond back in the 90's. He'd have been great and I might've been interested in them.

Good whiskey make jackrabbit slap de bear.
Fallen
Crimson Tide
Virtuosity
The Bone Collector
Philadelphia

I haven't seen many Denzel movies, but seriously, Man On Fire must be one of the most overrated films on this forum.

No love for Philadelphia?

Remember The Titans
Man On Fire
American Gangster
Malcolm X
John Q

His best acting performance might be The Hurricane though, he got robbed that year.

Robbed by Kevin Spacey's Lester Burnham from American Beauty? Don't think so.

Mine:

Man on Fire (2004) -

Training Day (2001) -

Inside Man (2006) -

The Book of Eli (2010) -

American Gangster (2007) -

Denzel Washington has done a ton of very good movies but, from those I have watched, no truly great movie.

Fair enough, robbed may have been overstating it, I forget their are still people out there that liked American Beauty. I just felt Denzel was at his best in The Hurricane, and although he was still his normal very good in Training Day, it felt like a make up award from the previous year.

1. Training Day

2. Crimson Tide

3. The Manchurian Candidate

(Must note that the above 3 are really great movies imo, and there is large drop off in quality between 3rd and 4th)

4. The Hurricane

5. Man on Fire

Probably "Flight" will make the list when I get around to seeing it.

I wouldn't be so sure, Flight has a lot of issues. The crash is great though, and of course Denzel is amazing.

I'm the only one that rates it. So, no it's not overrated on here.

I actually only seen five works of his and all from the 2000s, I'll work on that.

The ones I liked from the 5, Unstoppable, Taking Of Pelham 123, and The Great Debaters.

Not to keen on Inside Man or Man on Fire.
