If you watch Transamerica backwards, a male-to-female transsexual named Bree kicks her gay porn star son out of her house, then gets a reverse sex change and turns back into a man, then drives to his parents' house (in full drag) and meets up with his son again, then the two of them make a cross country road trip together, where at one point they encounter a stoner who gives Bree a purse filled with hormones which he doesn't need anymore. Bree and his son make it to the other side of the country. Bree becomes brain damaged or at least has amnesia because he forgets that he even had a son and the son disappears. Bree then gets two jobs - the first as a cook/waitress in a Mexican restaurant, the second as a telephone salesman. The movie ends with a video of Bree's featuring a transsexual, which makes us assume that Bree must be thinking about turning back into a woman again.

If you watch Taxi Driver backwards, its about a simple taxi driver who murders three members of a crime gang in order to get closer to a child prostitute, eventually leaving her for another he meets at a porn film, before leaving her as well when finding out she works for a political campaign. He eventually loses his job and ends the film unemployed, yet surprisingly sane.
