Your favorite film of the year you were born?

I was born in 1975 so I'd have to go with 'Jaws.'

Well, they asked "favorite" (rather than what I thought the best film of the year was) and on any given night if you say, "Wooley, you wanna watch Vampire Circus or The Godfather," I can tell you which one I'm more likely to say.

This is a tough one because I was born in 1966, which wasn't a great year for movies. There are a bunch of movies that I like, but none that I love.

If I had to pick one favorite, it would probably be A Big Hand for the Little Lady.

But Penelope and The Glass Bottom Boat would be close second and third choices.
Hmm, I have a couple of big favorites from that year. Persona, Black Girl, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Seconds... There's also The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly and The Battle of Algiers, both of which are almost universally loved, even if I didn't like them as much as most people. Have you seen any of these?

1966 might actually be my favorite year for film.

It's not even close...

For me it would be either A Clockwork Orange or McCabe and Mrs. Miller.

I saw Persona years ago, (shortly after joining MoFo), but I didn't like it.

I like Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, but I don't consider it a favorite movie. If this had been a list of "the best movies from the year I was born", it would have made my list.

I saw Seconds a while back, and I think it's a good movie, but if I remember correctly, it was kind of creepy.

I watched The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly for the Westerns Countdown, and it was okay, but it's just not a favorite movie for me.

I haven't seen Black Girl and The Battle of Algiers
