2017 DVR Relegation

Much like a soccer team in a league, the movies on my DVR have fallen subject to relegation. The fate of these films rest beneath your fingertips. You reward promotion to 2018. You decide the fate of those assigned delete now ? relegation.

I have no clue what movies I have seen this year (without someone else telling me). In order to prevent this next year, I need 5 films to start a 2018 film record. If this method proves unsuccessful, a Memento style of tattoo documentation may be my last hope. May the glow of this neon salve, ease the burden I ask of you.

Relegation Regulation Realization

1. Choose five films for 2018 DVR promotion

2. Stalemates will be resolved with penalty kicks

3. If parameters don't compute, execute
RRR #1 or contact thread administrator

The future depends on you. Without your help, we may never get hoverboards.

Per the legal department. I am grateful for participation and appreciate the effort.

Without all the fanfare and retina sear...

Please choose 5 movies from the list above.

This post will be used as a results page.

I liked a few others on your list.

I know that complicates matters.
I just wanted some thoughts on any movies people liked out of the list. It's basically just random movies from HBO...which you could watch on-demand, but I prefer the super-convenience of DVR and none of the potential internet issues from streaming.

Tarantino told me to let digital die... but....

1. Platoon
2. Platoon
3. Platoon
4. Platoon
5. half Platoon and half Scarface

Italy told me I could only give Scarface half a vote since they made the real Scarface in the 70's.

Digging this thread, and the artwork in it.

5.) The Dark Knight
4.) The Big Lebowski
3.) Platoon
2.) Scarface (I assume the 83 version)
1.) Unforgiven

EDIT: If it ends up being the 1932 version of Scarface, I would probably switch it around with Unforgiven.

Are you talking about Mr. Scarface (1976)?

I'll wait a bit before voting, I haven't seen The Royal Tenebaums yet.
Go ahead and put it on your list then.

hahahaha, I saw this about 10 years ago, and now that I'm diving headfirst into the Italian Poliziotteschi genre, I owe this another watch.
I love Fernando Di Leo's movies.

Caliber 9
The Italian Connection
The Boss

Where's their DVR's?

Fandor has a small, but decent, selection of poliziotteschi films, including the "Milieu Trilogy" listed above. I don't think they're intended to be watched in any specific order, so I may watch Il Boss (1973) tonight.

Not really digging the thread but amazing artwork, hats off to you.
