Academy Awards For the Decade

Tools

Tyler isn't here! Tyler went away! Tyler's gone!
Hey Mofo's!! I have compiled a list of awards for each decade, with 6 noms in each category. I will be taking nominations as well, until the particular category reaches a pole. I will be posting every category starting with the top to be voted on, starting next week on July 8th. I am starting at the top to give me time to add more categories and previous decades. If anyone has any suggestions for nominations, awards or for a previous decade, leave it in the comments and I will get to it. Nominations for a particular category will not be posted until I have at least 6 nominations.
Stay Classy San Diego (Edited in 6/30)

Hey Mofo's, long time no see........ My bad.......
Ever since I can remember, I always wanted the Oscar's to have awards for the decade. I don't know if anyone else shares this thought, but I thought it would be fun to share our thoughts on this. If not, any criticism would help,
Thank you for your thoughts!

Tyler isn't here! Tyler went away! Tyler's gone!
So I have been working on this list for awhile, I expect to get done, not in the near future, but as I'm adding categories, I wanted to make a pole for a certain category in a particular decade to get the winner of each decade. But I also wanted to know if I should add movies, actors or directors for certain categories for each decade. Is 6 to small a number or should I do 10 or 12. Any criticism you might have would be appreciated. Thank You.

I think six is good. Don't feel strongly about it, though. Decent argument to be made for shorter or longer.
Yeah, I understand
Wasn't sure if my lists were too bias or if they accurately reflected the performance and influence they had on their decade. Tried to be unbiased but that can be hard to do to impossible.
Willing to add a movie, actor/actress or director to a list if nominated from a mofo to do so before the pole begins next week

For best animated picture 2010 you should add Anomalisa.
Also you should add Her.
Adding a category for Best Documentary would be good aswell.
Also beside Kevin Spacey you should mention that he was in Seven.

I'll get right on that and I wanted to add more categories like best cinematography, best documentary, best original story, best special effects and so forth
But I didn't think I had the know how to pass judgement on those types of aspects of cinema, if you have a list for a category you want to add, I will gladly do so as well.

You snubbed Brody for 'The Pianist.'
I know I am aware, did not feel good about it but I will add him.
Wanted to only start off with 6 with myself and add more if others were nominated for the poles. dually noted

Don't HAVE to do what every voter tells you to do, do what you feel is the right thing to do with the apparent consensus.
(But I'm voting for American Beauty regardless, tee-hee! )

You snubbed the greatest male performance in cinematic history.

I am very aware, not going to add everyone. For one, your nomination had merit and two when I have a pole for a particular category, you can have 12 nominations in a pole, so......

You also snubbed the worst male performance in cinematic history. What gives, Royale!!!!???

Mike Myers in 'The Cat in the Hat.'
Indeed. And the worst: Adrien Brody in "The Pianist".
