I sent a PM to a potential tie-breaker, but he I guess he decided not to vote and my usual tie-breaker voter (The Rodent) is offline.

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.
I'll vote for the Pogues. Oh wait - FM isn't the Pogues. Tough call, but I guess I'll go with Buckingham. You're welcome or Sorry, whichever applies.

Looks like I have my first casualty with The Arctic Monkeys, though I suspected that'd be the case. It's a shame, though, as that song's as catchy as hell. I quite liked The Misfits song and the Star Wars theme, but as I don't care for Piano Man (and most Billy Joel songs I've heard) and really, really hate every version of Unchained Melody that I've ever head (and lets face it, there's been a few) those were easy. Slightly surprised how much I liked the Nightwish track, as it sounds like videogame music, but it's up against one of my all-time favourite tracks, so it was doomed from the start. Almost anything up against Mumford & Sons is onto a winner in my book. ****ing folk music. It's why we plugged in guitars, people! James Blunt? How much did you win? I'm not much of a Beatles fan, so while they've been OK songs, they've not been up against anything much, IMO. I voted for Eloise because it's a really good song. I was thinking of nominating it myself.

honeykid, you voted against Mumford and Sons which was the right choice, but did you like the song you voted for over it? It's my nom, which is why I am curious.

I have a feeling all my nominations are going to take beating throughout this tournament. Sigh.
I don't remember the match-ups, but I like 5 or 6 of your noms. I will be voting for them most likely.

I thought it was ok. Sometimes I quite like old blues, so while it'll be hit and miss with me, it'll almost always depend on what it's up against. A song I like? It probably won't win. A song I don't like? Almost a certainty. I'm the same with most songs by The Beatles, too.

I'm now off to see what MMKing nominated. Sadly, I have a feeling neither of us are going to be happy with my thoughts.

*EDIT* Take On Me and In A Gadda Da Vida are good with me. You'll be unlucky to have me vote against those two. Tiny Dancer and Can't Help Falling In Love will depend on the match-ups. They've never been favourites, but they'll beat songs I don't like.
