Frank Miller - "Will Eisner's The Spirit" - 2007

Frank Miller is now screenwriting "Will Eisner's The Spirit", a film in which he will also direct (which is said to be putting Sin City 2 even further on hold). The film will have color, unlike the comic book. I have no yet been able to locate the film's plot; but I have read it will be a period piece, and contain a serious storyline. As City was faithful to its graphic novel, bet that The Spirit will be as well.

The Spirit is a hero not unlike that of Batman; a no super strength crime fighting vigilante and ladies man. Miller does have an actor in mind to play the beloved hero; but will not jump the gun before he has him signed.

Should be interesting to see what Miller comes up with and how faithfull the film will be.
