Frank Miller's "300" (2007)

300 is another succesful graphic novel by Frank Miller (Sin City) set for film adaptation and to be released in 2007. Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead - 2004) is said to be directing the film, and Miller as executive producer.


Tell me this doesn't look just awesome!

300 is a historical epic based on the Battle of Thermopylae, a war between the Greek and Persian armies in 480 BC.

The film is being shot in "digital backlot", like Sin City.

Zack Snyder is also directing Alan Moore's highly successful graphic novel Watchmen.

Eh. If that's supposed to be Ephialtes, he looks a little too monstrous and bloodthirsty. That's not how he was in the comics.

I like what he's been doing with 300, sticking pretty close to the source material and all. I'm hoping he does the same with Watchmen. But I'm still of the opinion that Watchmen simply can't be condensed into a film, and shouldn't be. So I can't help but frown a little that this film is once again in production.
