Current Top Five Favorite Actors

Tools

Here are some of my favourites that haven't (I think) been mentioned:

Male actors (in no order) :
*Jack Nicholson (One flew over the Cuckoo's nest, Five Easy Pieces),
*Harry Dean Stanton (Paris Texas, Repo Man),
*John Cazale (Godfather parts I & II, The Deer Hunter, Dog Day Afternoon)
*Jean-Paul Belmondo (A Bout De Souffle, Pierrot le Fou)
*Jack Lemmon (Glengarry Glen Ross, The Appartment)

Female actors (in no order) :
*Anjelica Huston (The Grifters, Prizzi's Honour),
*Lily Tomlin (Short Cuts, All of Me),
*Cynthia Stevens (Happiness, The Player),
*Joan Crawford (Mildred Pierce, Johnny Guitar),
*Sigourney Weaver (Alien, Aliens, Death and the Maiden)

Also the guy that said he thought Phillip Seymour-Hoffman hadn't been in any bad films, this is sadly untrue - Patch Adams and Montana are the blotches on an otherwise exemplary copybook.

fantastic to see someone acknowledge the ability of the late great Jason Robards, perhaps the finest stage actor that you U.S fellows have ever had. Watch Once Upon A Time In The West: Robards, Fonda and the enigmatic Bronson all put it tremendous performances... That reminds me Humphrey Bogart, Cary Grant, James Stewart, Dennis Hopper, Isabella Rosselini, Robert Mitchum, Lauren Bacall...

My Top 5.

Kevin Spacey
Ed Norton
Mel Gibson
Brad Pitt
Ewan McGreggor

As for Kevin Spacey being gay. Ya right, believe what you read in magazines and tabloids now huh? And Tom Cruise has a fetish for Gerbils and Oprah had Freddie Prinze's love child.

Whatever, leave the guy alone.

This is the first time I ever even read this thread and this is the first thig my eyes caught on.I had to choke back tears.anyhoo, here's my favs sorry if everybody else likes them too,but you were all just copying me...or somethig...uh,okay:
-Kevin Spacey
-Gene Hackman
-ed Norton(liked HIM scince Primal Fear)
-Brad Pitt(hot & talented...not like all the bimbos you guys talk about,"Jennifer Lopez sucks...but she's so hot")
-Harrison Ford
There's so many others but this is okay for now.I change my mind every day.

One thing I will say in praise of old Bradley Pitt is that he is one of the best selectors of roles working in Hollywood today. Obviously no actor hasn't had a duff part before or a below-par performance, but the choices Pitt has at his disposal, combined with perceptiveness have elevated him to a status above many of his peers.

I ain't gettin' in no fryer!
In no particular order:

1. Kevin Spacey
2. Harrison Ford
3. Brad Pitt
4. Benicio Del Toro
5. Gary Oldman

These five men have routinely given stellar performances during the last ten years even when their respective movies haven’t been all that memorable. There are legendary actors working today, such as Robert De Niro, who have made poor choices (script wise) and have disappointed me in the cinema.

Philip Seymour Hoffman

William H. Macy

Jack Nicolson

Stellan Skarsgård

Johnny Depp
