But what I can tell you is that we're coming up on a huh-ooge milestone, and way faster than I'd expected.

I'd originally thought we'd hit this mark sometime in February, but now it's set to happen within the next week...

I was basing my earlier estimation (of 5 million posts) on the amount of posts on another (dutch) forum I was on when I was younger with only 18000 members and that now has 2.672.532 posts, but that's probably because that forum was insanely active during 2004-2010 (now it's practically dead).
Knowing now that this forum was much less active in the past and looking at the amount of posts of the top 50 posters, I changed my guess. It may be a little too low now, though (but that's to not make Yoda feel bad).

It's getting to the point where I'm starting to be disgusted by the movie commentaries because I don't want my post count getting THAT obscenely high.

You should give a prize to the person with the 1 millionth MoFo post.

Even if it's something cheap -- like they could see the new MoFo layout way early.

Or maybe they could ban Tacitus.
