Keanu Reeves stars as an American diamond smuggler who goes to Russia to broker a deal with a notorious Russian mobster. However, when his partner goes missing upon his arrival, he heads to Siberia where he meets Katya, a young woman who longs to once again escape the life she is currently living. The two begin a love affair but things get complicated when Reeves must return to St. Petersburg to get the deal made or face the consequences of the mobster.
