I like the first one, and kind of like the the third, but kind of not. Don't like the second one. The third I somewhat appreciate for having the guts to kill off a certain character, which a sequel like that would not normally want to do, and I like the twist with the villain, which I also found to be a breath of fresh air.
But third does have it's share of silly over the top moments that bring it down. The problem I have with the second one, is that I found Brian Mills to not be the same character. For example, in the bathhouse, he chooses to give up his gun, in favor of a fistfight, when the Mills from the original would have just shot the guy, and I found the character to change to be not believable. He does that a couple of other times in the movie, showing a little more mercy than before, which I didn't buy.
Also the situations were just too over the top, such as Maggie being able to learn how to drive very well so quickly and all.
