I think they will become obsolete. I went through the VHS to DVD to Blu-ray collections and recently converted my best ones to VUDU when it was like $2.50 to convert DVD to HDX on VUDU. The rest (about 400) I have boxed up and stored in my basement. I now have about 300 movies on VUDU and it's nice that you can share with friends/relatives. My son and I will take turns buying the latest ones.
