Favorite werewolf movie

I thought Rise Of The Lycans was the "better" film out of the three, it had just as much backstory as the first one and brought all new material to the table rather than rehashing 90% of it while still being able to tie into the mythos. Underworld: Evolution was an obvious weak link but still quite entertaining.

The best werewolf films were those with Lon Chaney Jr. playing the creature because he's the only one to capture the real pathos of a man becoming an evil thing against his will.

The worse are all of those in recent years that keep ramping up special effects without good scripts and character development.
