A guy works for a corporation erases his memories goes undercover?

Hello need help finding the title of a movie...
from what i can remember....

A guy (I want to say tom cruise for some reason?) works for a company/corporation has his memories erased/erased it himself using the companys tech?
he found out what he is working on is terrible and wants to stop them/ he invented something horrible and wants to stop them... he leaves clues for himself to find....
i remember him pressing his hand on a handprint scanner...has a female lead also.....i think he works AND lives in the company...a bunch of hi tech stuff i want to say the movie was released 1995-???
i remember near the ending he is running on walkways/catwalk above a silver cylindrical object an explosion behind him....i also remember glass shattering a lot in the movie for some reason....most glass had displays...like writing/pictures hi tech stuff like that...

i hope someone can let me know this movie really exists i have been looking everywhere....
i remember watching it as a kid with the parents.
