The MoFo Top 100 of the 80s: Countdown

For those of you who live near a participating theater, the folks who put together the Cinemark Classics Series must have heard about the MoFo '80s List, because in the next couple weeks you can see two of our top picks.

This Sunday May 25th at 2:00pm, as well as next Wednesday the 28th at 7:00pm, you can see our number three pick Back to the Future on the big screen! Don't be a butthead: do it. And the following week, Sunday June 1st at 2:00pm and Wednesday June 4th at 7:00pm it's our number two choice, Raiders of the Lost Ark. Top men.

Also showing in this series, even though it didn't make the top hundred here, is Dirty Dancing, Sunday June 15th/Wednesday June 18th. Don't put Baby in the corner. And as I mentioned in the other thread, also Saturday Night Fever and the first two Godfathers.

It definitely has no business being above Last Crusade. It's been two years, nobody will notice if I just nudge it down a few places right...

I will.

If there's any mistake, it's that TOD should've been higher. It was #2 on my ballot.
Also people who don't vote in these things have no right to complain about the outcome.

This is a weird thing that I've noticed about Temple of Doom, people either absolutely love it, or absolutely despise it, very few are just indifferent to it like myself.

Its all right, go ahead and drop it a few.

Thats just sad. Youre ranking TOD over some truly incredible pieces of work. #2 ?! I could understand if this is someones childhood favorite, but youre older now. Gah!
