Guess my pic is not working right I posted Yentl, hip as hip can get.

Oops...I think I meant to say "one of the very few recent movies THAT I'VE ACTUALLY SEEN" - stupid oversight.

I can still fit two dozen sugar cubes in my mouth.

You couldn't even top 16.

So, Drobin, who's the loser now?

I observed at first from a distance; he flouted all normal societal standards of utter moral degradation, and seemed bent on causing a social uprising, rather than just having a drunken stupor. I gently fingered my drink and turned back to my company, already discussing the merits of objectivism in a realistic setting. Three hours later, taken in by red wine and the gentle caresses of debauchery, I was casually dancing naked underneath a margarita-colored sky, accepting that my future chances with dignity had all but disappeared. It was then that he approached me; somewhere, between the double tequilas and sweet socialist manifestos he kept feeding me, I ended up in his arms. We made love 3... no 4... no 19 times, under the moonlight and on top of a pile of vomit so vile that I passed out from the smell. When I awoke, I found that next to me, in place of the once nubile and confused young man, there sat a simple turtle with an engraving carved on to its shell; et ignotas animum dimittit in artes.
Your words are like sweet drops of Honey, my sonneteer. Too bad you used your way with words to charm me out of my pants and wallet. By the way, stop using my Amex card to buy favors from chocolatecoveredfiremenandothermaleescorts.com. Really, the questions it raises are pretty uncomfortable.

Henry and Nlk are really going at it. We are right in the middle of a raging battle of wits. Or should I say twits?....sorry I couldn't resist.

I can dig it, brother. That’s all you need to say. After all…that’s why I watch movies in the first place.

Yeah adaptation is quite the film. It'd be in my top 10 or 20. Definitely Nicholas Cage's best performance and some of the most unique, best writing in years it seems to me....Actually it's probably my favorite film in terms of the script.

Randomly visiting for now
heh Henry and Nlk are hilarious and I've already posted about my hip movies but strummer man try not to double post. I had a silly picture with a kitten and the quote "every time you double post God kills a kitten", but I couldn't find it....still that's two kittens!

Put me in your pocket...
Hmmm...movies that make me feel hip...

I think it all depends on the peer group I'm talking too. I ocassionally felt hip talking to several young salespeople about a few anime movie's my daughter and I like. I've had some great conversations with them. However, when I've brought up those same anime movies with my best friend or my husband...I get a blank stare from her...and my husband looks at me as if I've grown two heads.

I feel kinda hip when I'm talking with someone who also watches and enjoys the old classics...but my kids think I'm boring and not hip whenever I watch them. "TCM! Not again mom~". I'm so un-hip.

DAMNIT! I wish I had saved that rep for this post. Anyway…

That’s what I’ve gotten with Every. Single. Person. whom I’ve ever mentioned the name John Sayles to.

So yeah, I guess I feel hip for liking Sayles so much that he's one of my 5 favorite living directors...and it would be an extremely lonely hip if it weren't for some of you fine folks.

Why thank you.~~

I should check into Sayles more. What's funny is even being open minded to something that's not on the popular racks. When I've rented or suggested movies from the sundance area or foriegn film area...again I get blank stares.

I hear you man, but I'll have to go with...

Can we try with real bullets now?
Friday Night Lights-Slow motion tackles and spin moves are too cool
Dragon:The Bruce Lee Story-Every time I watch the scene where Jason Scott Lee beats the crap out of the loser with the ponytail at the karate convention I feel way hip. Mostly because I'm one of the few people that even enjoyed the movie. Or watched it.
