From what I've seen, user's own 'Award Shows' are often a rarity on this site, so I've decided to throw my 1 cent in!
A user did the same before. The main problem with getting participation for you is that you aren't known here because you've just joined, you've came up with a randomly pre-selected group of nominees; asking us to nominate stuff could have gotten some discussion going which would bring attention to your thread. Similar things to this have been done alot but you've cut everyone out by deciding what the nominations are.
