The Happy Harris Deep Sea Salvage Team thought they'd struck the mother lode. Owner Hal Harris (George Clooney) was overcome with glee when his team spotted the large, derelict abandoned deep sea laboratory floating unprotected and unused in the middle of the South Atlantic. But they didn't know the truth about the history of this very special laboratory. When Harris' right hand man, the gruff Butch Fergeson (Bruce Willis) led the first team on board to survey their find, the only thing that came back over the radio waves to Hal were cries of terror and fear.
