I love How to Train Your Dragon and 12 Angry Men, but I'm not a Toy Story series or Gravity fan.

I used to love Evil Dead 2 and still need to see True Grit.

Little Devil's Avatar
MC for the Great Underground Circus
I don't believe I have.
If you liked Source Code, you're gonna love Johnny got his gun.

Casino

I only have one major problem with this film, and that's the fact that it's just kind of a diet coke version of Goodfellas. However, that's still Goodfellas. When Scorsese repeats a formula, he still manages to make it almost just as entertaining and great as the first time he used it. I also love how he doesn't "glorify" (for lack of a better term) crime the way he does in most of his films. This is easily one of his bloodiest and straight down gritty films. The cornfield scene says enough about that.

Jurassic Park

A film that played into my love of dinosaurs as a child. This film is simple majestic, everything feels gigantic and grand. The characters are memorable as well, I remember all their names and want them to get out alive. And the effects still hold up to this day, I still believe that these dinosaurs are actually there and that they are breathing. And the score, do I need to say anything more about that.

Eh, Jurassic Park is grossly overrated in my opinion. Since I was born into CGI this film doesn't feel special at all to me. I was more into trains than dinosaurs as a kid. The effects DO hold up to this day I'll agree with you on that. The score was fine.

In The Heat of the Night.

This is a well directed, well paced, and incredibly well acted film. But it's also an important one for racial acceptance in Hollywood, and I'm not usually and overly PC person, but this film was simply ahead of its time. It's one of the few films about racial tension that very rarely feels like overly preachy white-guilt/ Oscar-bait. And not to forget, Sidney Poitier is simply captivating in this film.

Inception

A highly creative, beautifully shot, and unique film from Nolan. Despite the complex rules of the world, it's still a wildly entertaining thrill ride with creative action sequence after creative action sequence. And it also has, in my opinion, one of the best open endings in cinema history. The biggest problem with the film for me is that it caused every single Hans Zimmer score to have that freaking bwam, your better than that Zimmer.

Gravity and Inception wouldn't even make an all time list for me.

Inside Out

This is one of the most cleverly written and directed animated films ever. I love how the creatively explain how people go through emotional states, along with tons of cleverly written jokes that never fail to make me laugh. And the ending scene is one of the most emotional and tear-jerking in all of film history.

I forgive you for the hiatus. Inside Out, while I liked it, was just a big clichè. "Two characters who don't like each other go on a big adventure back to their home with many deus ex machinas to help them along the way". Wow, so original, I've never heard that plot before *cough* *cough* Toy Story *splutter* Up.

Boyhood

Now, let's have no denial here, this film is a complete gimmick. But, due to Linklater's direction and subtle, grounded performances from the actors, the film never feels to pretentious. I also love how they take the mundaneness of life and show it on screen in it's entirety and yet I never feel bored watching this film. You can see the films careful planning on screen throughout the 12 year shooting time.

Well that was a simple minded view on a movie....

And Dr Strangelove is just another war commentary movie and Fight Club is merely another of those split personality disorder films and with a lame twist ending. SO original.

Anyways. Once again, looks like I don't need to make my own personal too 100... I'll merely refer to your list, @NextScorsese.

Inside Out was great fun. My little boy thought it was hilarious.
