The truth is in here
I've only seen 15 of his movies (well, actually, one is a short film called The Big Shave), so I'm not really the right person to judge... But for the moment?

1. Goodfellas
2. The Aviator
3. Casino
4. Who's That Knocking On My Door (I think this is a legitimately great film. There are some imperfections common for a director just starting out, but the gripping story, performances and beautiful photography ranks this up among my favorites from him)
5. King Of Comedy
6. The Departed
7. Taxi Driver
8. Shutter Island
9. The Wolf Of Wall Street
10. Cape Fear (1991)

My 'Top Scorsese films'-list became more and more conventional as time went by. The three films that are usually considered to be his best, truly are his best, in my opinion. They're masterpieces of the purest kind. Of course, he's made plenty of other great films as well. Here's my top 11 (based on my current mood):

1) Goodfellas
2) Taxi Driver
3) Raging Bull
4) After Hours
5) Casino
6) The Wolf of Wall Street
7) New York, New York
8) The Aviator
9) The Age of Innocence
10) The Color of Money
11) The King of Comedy

I really like the rest of his work as well. There's not a single film he made that I disliked. I recently thought Silence was fantastic as well, for instance. The eleven films above are the ones that I truly adore with all my heart, though. They're the ones that I get wild about when I'm talking about them or when I'm rewatching scenes.

I've seen every film of his except for The Last Temptation of Christ (I urgently need to see it sometime) and I haven't delved into most of his documentaries either. Something to look forward to!

Yes, I also have very high expectations. They filmed old pacino/deniro and cgi'd them young for a number of scenes, hope it looks good.

I have only seen about a quarter all his movies, so not sure if I can make an entire top ten.

His two best ones for me are The Last Temptation of Christ and The Departed, and I don't think that will change if I see the ones I haven not yet, but maybe.
