Mofoington's Best Film: 1963

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
I've decided 'fun movies' are just as legit as 'artsy movies'...so my list just might be heavy on Annette and Frankie.

I haven't even looked at 64 films yet, but I will today.

Oh, I definitely agree. I'm not an artsy movie type of person anyway. Many of my top movies are fun movies like the Doris Day rom-coms. (If you look back at my lists that I've posted, you'll see that most of my top 10 movies rarely make the MoFo list of top 10 movies.)

I just don't think that the beach movies are top quality movies. They're fun movies, but they're not great movies.

The beach movies probably won't be on my list, but I do love em.

Any more recommendations for 1964 movies from anyone? (I'm starting early)

I'll let you know later when I start making my list, but these are just off the top of my head:

My Fair Lady
Mary Poppins
Goodbye Charlie (Debbie Reynolds and Tony Curtis)
Father Goose (Cary Grant)
What a Way to Go (Shirley MacLaine)
Fail-Safe
Dr. Strangelove

Send my list in!

From 1964 i suggest you check out these underseen gems:

Charulata

I hope Rauld takes 1964, I felt like crap stealing this one and the next day after it was his birthday.

That's cool with me if Rauld takes 1964. And thank you 101 for doing 1963.

I was under the impression that no one person was in charge of the various games and tournaments. That it was open to whoever called shotgun or who ever agreed to do it. So fair dinkum.
