Mofoington's Best Film: 1963

Hopefully.

I'm surprised 8 1/2 hasn't been mentioned, I say it has a good chance of winning.

Another prediction, I don't think The Birds will make nominees list, it's famous and all but not very loved on here (from what've seen).

I looked at the movies Mark posted and requested some of them. I will be watching these 1963 films by Dec 8th, (I hope)

Tom Jones
Homeward bound : the incredible journey
The three lives of Thomasina
The Haunting
America, America
Four for Texas
The Leopard
The V.I.P.s

I'm sure the ones Mark suggested are good. I'm not sure about the others?

You may also want to consider a couple of Jack Lemmon movies:
Under the Yum Yum Tree
Irma la Douce

And a couple of Doris Day movies:
Move Over, Darling
The Thrill of It All

And a few more movies:
Charade
The Great Escape
P.T. 109
The Courtship of Eddie's Father
Cleopatra

Thanks, I requested some of your recommendations that I hadn't seen. I want to see as many 1963 films as I can. So I'm open to more suggestions from anyone.

You may also want to consider a couple of Jack Lemmon movies:
Under the Yum Yum Tree....I just requested it.
Irma la Douce...Seen it and loved it!

And a couple of Doris Day movies:
Move Over, Darling....I just requested it.
The Thrill of It All...Seen it and really liked it.

And a few more movies:
Charade....Seen it and liked it but not as much as most people do.
The Great Escape...Seen it and really liked it.
P.T. 109...Seen it and really liked it.
The Courtship of Eddie's Father....I just requested it
Cleopatra....I just requested it, I have seen it before but will rewatch it.

I like The Birds quite a lot, very good Hitchcock that will make my list if I submit one. Seen 8 1/2 and Contempt which are both masterpieces. From Russia With Love is one of the best Bond films too.

2022 Mofo Fantasy Football Champ
I like The Birds too, it's not the greatest film in the world but I appreciate it for what it is worth. From Russia With Love is great too,

Chappie doesn't like the real world
It's not that Contempt bored me, when I am bored I pretty much feel indifference, it got on my nerves more than anything.

I was thinking that Comtempt would've made a good Hall of Fame nomination, not because everyone would love it, but because I think it would inspire a lot of discussion.

I like The Birds, it was the first film I saw that scared me ...a long long time ago! When I see it now tho it seems a bit silly. I don't think it stands up too well, but I'm not much of a Hitchcock fan
