What are you listening to while you're MoFoin' it?

I got for good luck my black tooth.
I keep hearing the song "Mercy" by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, in my head, while I'm Mofoin' it.

Have you heard this version?
It doesn't work for me without the 12-string. Honestly, I know almost nothing about them beyond the EP that contains that song, which I picked up because I was into the Brian Jonestown Massacre at the time and looking at the different "spin-off" bands that splintered from the original group.

I kind of imagine I might find their full-on rock albums a little too slick. But I appreciate this as an acoustic turn that avoids the melodrama of most hard-rock-band-gone-acoustic affairs.

Other exceptions to the rule include Nirvana: Unplugged in New York and the blissfully goofy "More Than Words" by Extreme

I have my iPod on shuffle at the moment.
Here's the last ten songs played:

1. "Under Heavy Fire" - John Stewart (of The Kingston Trio)
2. "Supermodel (You Better Work)" - RuPaul (Umm... how'd that get in there? )
3. "What's The World Coming To" - Fleetwood Mac
4. "Up Where We Belong" - Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes
5. "Book Of Love" - Fleetwood Mac
6. "Nothin' To Do (And All Night To Do It)" - Billy Burnette (formerly of Fleetwood Mac)
7. "Dueling Banjos" - Smokey River Boys
8. "The Best Of Everything" - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
9. "Turning Point" - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (shuffle doesn't always work so well )
10. "L.A. Woman" - The Doors

Another ten from shuffle:

1. “Hurt” – Johnny Cash
2. “Sunny Side Of Heaven” – Fleetwood Mac
3. “You Can Call Me Al” – Paul Simon
4. “White Room” – Cream
5. “Don’t Dream It’s Over” – Crowded House
6. “Rebirth Of Slick (Cool Like Dat)” – Digable Planets
7. “Closer” – Nine Inch Nails
8. “This Devil’s Workday” – Modest Mouse
9. “The Man Who Loves Women” – Tom Petty (featuring Lindsey Buckingham)
10. “Walking Away” – Jonny Lang

"Hearts and Bones"
Paul Simon
