So did you have to then add all the little movie poster images?
Yep. I made a little CSS/PHP thingy to rotate them each a certain amount (I was trying to get a "card fan effect" originially but went with this instead), then spliced it together and added the reel.

Will one of the Marvel films make the top 100? If so, which, and how high?
I hope not! But I'm sure one will.

What will be the highest-ranked comic book film, if any?
The Dark Knight

What will be the oldest film on the countdown?
Citizen Kane (1941). Otherwise perhaps a Chaplin or Keaton film, like Modern Times, City Lights or The General.

What will be the newest film on the countdown?
Parasite

What's the highest-ranked film from the last list that won't make the cut at all this time?
Let's go crazy: The Departed.

Which film will make the biggest jump from the previous list?
Difficult one. The Shining perhaps?

What will be the top horror film?
The Shining

Suspect's Reviews

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
As the saying goes: If you can't shake the top, shake the bottom. Or something like that.

Most of you already know. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that my one-pointer was

Lolita Vibrator Torture (1987)

A misanthropic look at a predator and his victims through the lens of the predator's camera, through the lens of Hisayasu Sato's camera, through the lens of society's apathy. Alienated. Suspended high, inside a freight container at the top of a skyscraper, vile cruelty. Appropriate for Hisayasu Sato, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Pink, vivisection of atrocity from the skies above - looking down at all of us with perceptive eyes, accentuating neglect, frustration, and sex as an act of violence. A victim who becomes a disciple, an accomplice, a lover, and finally a predator. A blood-soaked weapon turned upside down. Faces of death pasted onto walls, pasted onto your mind. Still photography, seedy VHS tapes. computer printing characters for 'virgin' and 'death' in an infinite wall of text. Art is above ethics and moral codes. True artists offend and provoke. This film is not for the weak of heart. Do not expect porn. Do not expect a cheap snuff film. This is a Hisayasu Sato film.

PS: Watch it as a double-bill with The Embryo Hunts in Secret.

PSS: If you liked Lolita Vibrator Torture, I recommend other films by Hisayasu Sato: Rape Climax, Horse - Woman - Dog and Lesbian Rape: Sweet Honey Juice.

Look, I'm not judging you - after all, I'm posting here myself, but maybe, just maybe, if you spent less time here and more time watching films, maybe, and I stress, maybe your taste would be of some value. Just a thought, ya know.

Women will be your undoing, Pépé
Day of the Jackal was mine, a film I've watched about as many times as any other film over the past 20 years.

It's just about perfection, brilliant mix of detective/assassin film.

My favourite parts are the crisis meetings with the heads of all the departments and the growing confidence of the investigator.

Its a bit like what would happen if Jason Bourne decided to take on the entire security apparatus of a first world country in order to assassinate their leader.

The sheer genius of both the assassin and the countries best detective sent to catch him is a joy to behold.

The Bruce Willis/Richard Gere one from the 90s is a stain upon the Earth.
My very first Rectification sets off BEFORE the List begins:

Day of the Jackal (One Pointer)

It is everything that @Gandalf has stated and more.
I'm a huge fan of espionage films and they did an exceedingly fine job here from the get go to the finale. If I had seen this before the 70s Countdown, not only would I have had it on my list but I would have been pushing it during the voting stage to get others to help get it ON the Countdown.

Seen 25 of the 37 1 pointers, with my favorite being Donnie Brasco. Strangely enough I was planning on watching Lolita Vibrator Torture in the next few days. My 1 pointer didn't make the last top 100, but I would think it's a contender.

100. Dawn of the Dead
99. Night of the Hunter

Strangely enough I was planning on watching Lolita Vibrator Torture in the next few days.
I've had it for quite some time too, but haven't watched it yet. I don't know if minio's appreciation for it makes me more or less eager to actually see it.

Day of the Jackal is indeed very good, although I only saw it once. I watched the Bruce Willis remake a bunch when I was a teen and when I finally saw the original I was like “This is way better.”

Should've done this initially, but, some fun questions based on the above predictions (and other related stuff):

  1. Will one of the Marvel films make the top 100? If so, which, and how high?
  2. What will be the highest-ranked comic book film, if any?
  3. What will be the oldest film on the countdown?
  4. What will be the newest film on the countdown?
  5. What's the highest-ranked film from the last list that won't make the cut at all this time?
  6. Which film will make the biggest jump from the previous list?
  7. What will be the top horror film?

I'm sure I'll think of more later.
No clue about the previous list so I can't answer those two.

Marvel? I think Black Panther will be the only one and it'll make the high 70s-low 80s.

Highest Ranked Comic Book Film will be The Dark Knight.

Oldest film on the countdown will be Battleship Potemkin.

Newest Film will be Parasite.

The top horror film will be Silence of the Lambs.

I found a picture of you shaking the bottom...

I can't see someone doing that without thinking of the "I Like It" Foxy Shazam video.
