101. "The Bigger the Figure" by Louis Prima
Album Title: Breaking It Up
Year: 1958

I first heard this song in the (mediocre) animated film Igor. At first I was taken aback by the lyrics, but over time I've come to love them. I haven't explored much of Prima's other work and this is the only one of his songs in my iTunes library and, therefore, the only one to make this list.

100. "The House Of Love" by Amy Grant and Vince Gill
Album Title: House Of Love
Year: 1994

I remember hearing this song a lot when it was first released and just absolutely fell in love with it. I'm an atheist who generally doesn't like Country music so this song probably shouldn't appeal to me, but somehow it does.

99. "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston
Album Title: The Bodyguard Soundtrack
Year: 1992

There once was a time when Kevin Costner was my actor obsession of choice. I used to have regular Kevin Costner movie marathons and my love of this song was an extension of that obsession. I still have a soft spot for Costner, though obviously I am no longer obsessed with him like I once was, and this song still has a place in my heart.

98. "I Hate Myself For Loving You" by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
Album Title: Up Your Alley
Year: 1988

This is a holdover from childhood. I remember having the audio cassette (remember those?) in the house when I was little and just absolutely loving it. I vaguely recall even making up a little dance routine to go with it. What can I say? I was 7. Don't ask me how the dance went, I don't remember. Or maybe I just plead the fifth.

97. "Ram Jam City" by Danny Kirwan
Album Title: Second Chapter
Year: 1975

For those of you not familiar with Kirwan, he was a member of Fleetwood Mac from 1968 to 1972 - well before there was any such thing as Rumours. I've always much admired Kirwan's work on the 1972 Fleetwood Mac album Bare Trees (one of my favorites from the band) but knew nothing of his solo work until hearing this song on the little known compilation disc called The Fleetwood Mac Family Album.

96. "Que Sera Sera" by Pink Martini
Album Title: Sympathique
Year: 1997

I first heard this version of the song earlier this year on my initial viewing of Mary and Max. It is quite effectively used in a very pivotal scene of the film and is largely responsible for the waterworks that scene prompts in me every time I watch it.

I Will Always Love You is usually enough to ensure you don't get any rep whatsoever. However, you also have I Hate Myself For Loving You and I love that song. So, it was down to the rest and, for the most part, I like it. So, + rep. Or, maybe it's just that I like you.

I first heard that Louis Prima Song during one of the previous song tournaments. Great song.
He also recorded "Just A Gigolo" which was later a hit for David Lee Roth. It's not as good as "The Bigger the Figure" but still amusing.

95. "The Living Years" by Mike + the Mechanics
Album Title: Living Years
Year: 1988

Although I’ve been fortunate enough to have never lost anybody close to me until my grandmother’s death this year, I’ve always felt that this was a very beautiful song. I bought the album a few years ago and really didn’t care for the rest of it, but this song will always remain a favorite.

94. "As Long You Follow" by Fleetwood Mac
Album Title: Greatest Hits
Year: 1988

Fleetwood Mac has seen many incarnations and many vocalists in its 40+ years of existence and, of those vocalists, Christine McVie is among my least favorite. Sure, I like a lot of her songs such as “Say You Love Me,” “Hold Me” and “Little Lies” but there are few that truly I love. This is one huge exception.

93. "Mama Told Me Not To Come" by Three Dog Night
Album Title: It Ain't Easy
Year: 1970

I’m not sure where I first heard this song, but it was probably on one of the old vinyl records in my parents’ collection. I don’t think I really became aware of it however until I started listening to classic rock radio stations. Either way, this isn’t a song I regard highly because of sentiment, it’s just a lot of fun.

92. "Learning To Fly" by Pink Floyd
Album Title: A Momentary Lapse Of Reason
Year: 1988

I’m not meaning to make this an 80s list, but somehow that seems to be the dominant decade so far. Anyway, I’ve never been a fan of Pink Floyd and can probably count the number of their songs that I like on one hand. However, this song has a sort of soaring, airy sound that fits the title extremely well and it’s a song that is easy to get lost in.

91. "I Don't Want To Go On With You Like That" by Elton John
Album Title: Reg Strikes Back
Year: 1988

A little bit sassy, a lot catchy and a great energizing tune that works well for working out.

Let the night air cool you off
I don't know if I actually like Joan Jett's sound or if I am just mesmerized by her. Stone cold fox.

I will always love Whitney Houston, even if she didn't always choose the best songs to record.

"Ram Jam City" is fun.

That cover of "Que Sera, Sera" is chilling.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
101. "The Bigger the Figure" by Louis Prima
Album Title: Breaking It Up
Year: 1958

100. "The House Of Love" by Amy Grant and Vince Gill
Album Title: House Of Love
Year: 1994

99. "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston
Album Title: The Bodyguard Soundtrack
Year: 1992

96. "Que Sera Sera" by Pink Martini
Album Title: Sympathique
Year: 1997

Great start to the list. These are some great songs.

I love Louis Prima, and that song is one of his best.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see Vince Gill make your list, even if it isn't one of my favorites of his songs.

Whitney Houston has one of the best voices ever. She could sing the phonebook and I would listen to her.

I love the Doris Day version of "Que Sera Sera", but this version was also very good.

Keep up the good work.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
95. "The Living Years" by Mike + the Mechanics
Album Title: Living Years
Year: 1988

93. "Mama Told Me Not To Come" by Three Dog Night
Album Title: It Ain't Easy
Year: 1970

These are my favorites from this round, especially the Mike + the Mechanics song.

90. "Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown)" by Fleetwood Mac
(Single)
Year: 1970

What the **** is a Green Manalishi? Hell if I know. Peter Green was probably tripping on acid when he wrote it. But it sounds incredible so who cares.

89. "Rhythm Of My Heart" by Rod Stewart
Album Title: Vagabond Heart
Year: 1991

I probably shouldn’t love this song, but I don’t care. I think I first took notice of it during a road trip with my best friend who put it on a mix CD and I instantly loved it. It’s great to sing along to, even if a little cheesy.

88. "To Be With You" by Mr. Big
Album Title: Lean Into It
Year: 1991

More 90’s catchy cheese that is oh so fun. I don’t remember ever hearing anything from these guys before or after this hit, but the song has an enduring appeal for me.

87. "Rebirth Of Slick (Cool Like Dat)" by Digable Planets
Album Title: Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space)
Year: 1993

I don’t recall ever hearing anything else from Digable Planets, but the snappy, catchy groove of “Rebirth of Slick” has always stuck with me.

86. "D.W. Suite" by Lindsey Buckingham
Album Title: Go Insane
Year: 1984

If you know me at all, then you knew Lindsey was gonna show up soon. Despite being largely responsible for the production of Fleetwood Mac’s biggest pop and rock hits, guitarist Lindsey Buckingham has always had a taste for the weird and experimental. This bizarre tribute to the late Beach Boy Dennis Wilson from Buckingham’s second solo album is a good example of that experimental side and I frequently find myself replaying this a good half dozen times before letting my iPod play something else.

Good whiskey make jackrabbit slap de bear.
To Be With You and Rhythm Of My Heart kick ass.

The only ones i'd already heard of the first set was the Whitney Houston one and Ram Jam City, after listening to the other songs i'll leave it to later to try the second set.

Love 101 and 97 , also really like 98 and 96 (despite the nightmares that'll ensue because of it ). Not a fan of 100, and I Will Alway Love You makes me feel sick because of how much my mum used to listen to it when i was younger.

I've obviously heard "Que Sera Sera" songs just not that one.
