Rush Hour (1998)
Director: Brett Ratner
Writers: Ross LaManna (story), Jim Kouf (screenplay)
Cast: Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker, Ken Leung
Genre: Action, Comedy and Crime
Runtime: 1 Hour and 38 Minutes

A good and funny buddy cop movie from the 90's and enjoyable film to watch. The chemistry between Lee and Carter was fantastic to watch as Lee (Jackie Chan) is this loyal and dedicated cop and Carter (Chris Tucker) is this wise ass and reckless LAPD detective and they team up to rescue the Chinese Consul's daughter as she was kidnapped by the bad guys.

"Please tell me you speak English. I'm Detective Carter. Do you speaka any English? DO-YOU-UNDERSTAND-THE-WORDS-THAT-ARE-COMING-OUT-OF-MY-MOUTH?" - Carter played by Chris Tucker

Clueless (1995)
Director: Amy Heckerling
Writer: Amy Heckerling
Cast: Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Brittany Murphy
Genre: Comedy and Romance
Runtime: 1 Hour and 37 Minutes
Rated PG-13

The acting from Alicia Silverstone was cute in this movie and did well playing the role of this sweet but spoiled rich teen high school girl named Cher. I like how she begins to mature as the movie progresses and knowing how clueless she was becoming. The other characters in the movie were cool also, making the film an interesting one.

"As If" - Cher played by Alicia Silverstone

Fear (1996)
Director: James Foley
Writer: Christopher Crowe
Cast: Mark Wahlberg, Reese Witherspoon, William Petersen
Genre: Drama and Thriller
Runtime: 1 Hour and 37 Minutes
Rated R

A very pleasant thriller movie about a young teenage girl dates this guy that she thought was this handsome and charming guy but finding out throughout the movie that he has this dark side of him that makes him out to be this psychotic boyfriend as Mark Wahlberg does a good job at playing the part in the film.

"It could of all been different, Mr. Walker. You should have allowed nature to take its course. In the end, it will anyway. SO LET ME IN THE F****N' HOUSE!" – David McCall played by Mark Wahlberg

One of my favorite parts in the movie - Wild Horses by The Sundays

(I tried to get a better video but of course Youtube has that age restriction crap on to block the video and make you watch it on their site)

Small Soldiers is one of the, IMO, genuinely underrated films and, arguably, a hidden gem. It's one of those films which I will often watch from where I catch it when it's on tv but never really sit down to watch it.

Haven't seen Fear since the mid/late 90's but remember thinking it was surprisingly good at the time.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994)
Director: Tom Shadyac
Writers: Jack Bernstein (story), Jack Bernstein (screenplay)
Cast: Jim Carrey, Courteney Cox, Sean Young
Genre: Comedy
Runtime: 1 Hour and 26 Minutes
Rated PG-13

Jim Carrey is one of favorite actors in comedy and found this film entertaining to watch as he plays this goofy and wildly eccentric pet detective that is hired to solve this crime involving the kidnapping of the Miami Dolphins mascot. They sure don’t make movies like these anymore, if they did it probably would get shunned upon which is a shame which the whole film was made to make people laugh and enjoy it.

"Alllrighty then." - Ace Ventura played by Jim Carrey

I've been avoiding Ace Ventura: Pet Detective because I didn't like the trailer, but I recently saw a few minutes of it on cable TV, and it looked like it might be funny. I might watch it the next time it's on TV.

my favorite movie right there

Scream 2 (1997)
Director: Wes Craven
Writers: Kevin Williamson (characters), Kevin Williamson
Cast: Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette
Genre: Horror and Mystery
Runtime: 2 Hours
Rated R

A good and fun sequel, the scream movies don't seem to disappoint as their enjoyable movies to watch. It must suck for Sidney to move on and to think that the Woodsboro murders are over but now having to go through all of it once again, since there is a new killer on the hunt to kill Sidney and whoever gets in the way.

"There are certain rules that one must abide by in order to create a successful sequel. Number one: the body count is always bigger. Number two: the death scenes are always much more elaborate - more blood, more gore - *carnage candy*. And number three: never, ever, under any circumstances, assume the killer is dead." - Randy Meeks played by Jamie Kennedy

Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995)
Director: John McTiernan
Writers: Jonathan Hensleigh, Roderick Thorp (certain original characters by)
Cast: Bruce Willis, Jeremy Irons, Samuel L. Jackson
Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995)
Genre: Action, Adventure and Thriller
Runtime: 2 Hours and 8 Minutes
Rated R

John McClane fighting off criminals once again but this time teaming up with this Harlem store owner named Zues (Samuel L Jackson) to stop this German terrorist named Simon from trying to set off bombs throughout the NYC area. This movie sure is a cool and fun action-packed film to watch.

"Yippie Kai Yay Motherf*cker."- John McClane played by Bruce Willis

#16.

The Waterboy (1998)
Director: Frank Coraci
Writers: Tim Herlihy, Adam Sandler
Cast: Adam Sandler, Kathy Bates, Henry Winkler
Genre: Comedy and Sport
Runtime: 1 Hour and 30 Minutes
Rated PG-13

This was a funny and enjoyable Adam Sandler movie to watch as he plays the role of a delayed young man that loves his momma, his girlfriend and football. While his dreams to ever play football, it gets shutdown by his controlling momma (Kathy Bates) who thinks everyone is the devil and her way is the right way. I like how Bobby proves her wrong and follow his dream to want to play football.

"“Now that’s what I call high-quality H2O." - Bobby Boucher played by Adam Sandler

#15.

Happy Gilmore (1996)
]Director: Dennis Dugan
Writers: Tim Herlihy, Adam Sandler
Cast: Adam Sandler, Christopher McDonald, Julie Bowen
Genre: Comedy and Sport
Runtime: 1 Hour and 32 Minutes
Rated PG-13

A funny movie about a rejected hockey player that puts his skills towards playing in this golf tournament to save his grandmother’s home from getting it taken away from her. As usual Sandler manages to make this movie laughable, like some of his other movies that he has made.

"You eat pieces of sh*t for breakfast?" – Happy Gilmore played by Adam Sandler

Really enjoyed this one and a strong effort for a horror sequel.

From Dusk till Dawn (1996)
Director: Robert Rodriguez
Writers: Robert Kurtzman (story), Quentin Tarantino (screenplay)
Cast: Harvey Keitel, George Clooney, Juliette Lewis
Genre: Action, Crime and Horror
Runtime: 1 Hour and 48 Minutes
Rated R

This is how vampire movies are supposed to be, blood sucking creatures trying to feed off on living humans. When the criminal gecko brothers force this family to drive them to Mexico and when they enter this biker bar called the titty twister, havoc breaks loose as they find out the place has some vampires in it.

"All right, vampire killers... let's kill some f**king vampires." – Seth Gecko played by George Clooney

#13.

The Truman Show (1998)
Director: Peter Weir
Writer: Andrew Niccol
Cast: Jim Carrey, Ed Harris, Laura Linney
Genre: Comedy and Drama
Runtime: 1 Hour and 43 Minutes
Rated PG

As we get to the end of the film, I can see the pain that Carrey's character goes through after finding out that his life was all a lie and just some tv show about him is heartbreaking, if I was him I would want out immediately just for the sake of it so I can have my own private life.

"Good Morning, in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening and good night." - Truman Burbank played by Jim Carrey

Boyz N the Hood (1991)
Director: John Singleton
Writer: John Singleton
Cast: Cuba Gooding Jr., Laurence Fishburne, Hudhail Al-Amir
Genre: Crime and Drama
Runtime: 1 Hour and 52 Minutes
Rated R

An exciting and intense hood tale that shows you the struggles of the gang life in south central LA and the cast was good in this movie especially Lawrence Fishbourne that plays the father that tells his son (Cuba Gooding Jr.) what happens when he gets involved into gang violence and wants him to have a better life.

"Rick, it's the Nineties. Can't afford to be afraid of our own people anymore, man." – Furious Styles played by Lawrence Fishbourne

Saving Private Ryan (1998)
Director: Steven Spielberg
Writer: Robert Rodat
Cast: Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, Tom Sizemore
Genre: Drama and War
Runtime: 2 Hour and 49 Minutes
Rated R

A great war movie made by Steven Spielberg which he did a wonderful job making this film an interesting take on WW2. I say this movie was one of the best war movies ever made while watching all the explosive action going on in it and showing us the brutal and violent battle between the Americans and Germans.

"He better be worth it. He better go home and cure a disease, or invent a longer-lasting light bulb." – Captain Miller played by Tom Hanks

Casino (1995)

Writers: Nicholas Pileggi (book), Nicholas Pileggi (screenplay) | 1 more credit »
Cast: Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, Joe Pesci
Genre: Crime and Drama
Runtime: 2 Hour and 58 Minutes
Rated R

A good Las Vegas mob movie and liked how Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci narrates the movie and tells us what goes on when running a casino back in the day. The acting from De Niro, Pesci and Stone was brilliant as the film shows us the destruction and betrayal that goes on throughout the film.

"When you love someone, you've gotta trust them. There's no other way. You've got to give them the key to everything that's yours. Otherwise, what's the point? And for a while, I believed, that's the kind of love I had." - Sam 'Ace' Rothstein played by Robert De Niro
