My DVD stash is around 50 and growing,
but according to you guys, MY collection is just a baby.....

almost up to 200 dvds, plus around 50 vhs

Get Low, Get Low, Get Low
In college your options with money are limited: as of now I think i have 15 DVD's and almost over 200 VHS
going to the local rental store and buying their extra movies is a good way to collect your assets.

Good Lord, Holden Pike. Over 700 DVDs and 600 LaserDisks! That is the MOTHER LOAD. I'm never gonna feel guilty about having things in excess again.

I have around 90-100 DVDs right now.

My wife and I began collecting films in 1982 (VHS) and got up to 5500 before we lost our home to a Christmas fire in 1992.

From 1992 to 1997 we had replaced most of the films, plus new ones.

In 1997 we began our DVD collection. Now six years later we are approaching (well . . . a lot). But we never have to worry about what to watch for the night, and the cash investment is strong if I ever want to sell it to a new video store.

I know the feeling when someone is just starting out. You feel "Wow, my collection is so small."

That was how I felt in 1982 when a friend in church already had over 1000 films. And he never loaned them out.... which years later I felt the same way.

It's the journey I would recommend to all building a collection. And then you wake up one day and realize you have enough films to watch every day for a month! And then it's 2-3 months.

My first DVD was CLIFTHANGER, and it is still awesome to watch on the big screen.

But the joy still arrived every week as I continue to add more DVDs for our own entertainment and collection.

When I pass on to another life, two of my treasures I wish to leave to my children and grandchildren will be.... my book libary, and my film collection.

All the best,

Jeremy
