1. Interpol - Untitled
My favourite tune from Interpol. I've always found it so very beautiful.

2. Caro Emerald - Back It Up
Lovely voice! Yeah I like this.

3. Raekwon - Incarcerated Scarfaces
I like a bit of rap.

4. Frank Sinatra - Strangers in the Night
A great classic.

5. Merle Haggard - Branded Man
Wow it was hard to choose which one I preferred between this and George Strait and wish I could have given them equal placing. It came down to the backing vocals for me.

6. George Strait - The Cowboy Rides Away

7. Hoobastank - The Reason

8. takarazuka - prince rudolph

1. Merle Haggard - Branded Man
- More young people should listen to Merle Haggard.

2. George Strait - The Cowboy Rides Away
- Yeah, George Strait is always gonna score well for me. I would say this is one of his better tracks, but I love almost everything George did for most of his career.

3. Raekwon - Incarcerated Scarfaces
- Sometimes it's hard to even pay attention to the major Wu-Tang dudes' lyrics because their flows are so good that you just get caught up in how it sounds. Then when I remember to listen to what they are saying, it just pushes these dudes to the top of the hip hop pyramid.

4. Interpol - Untitled
- I think I've listened to some Interpol before but I can't rightfully remember. I'd be down to listen to some more.

5. Frank Sinatra - Strangers in the Night
- I don't really get Frank Sinatra, but I suppose he's alright.

6. Caro Emerald - Back It Up
- Enjoyable. Not a lot to say other than that.

7. Hoobastank - The Reason
- Honestly... this kinda works as a guilty pleasure for me. I don't think this is a good song, but I have word plenty worse. I don't like it enough to want to listen to the whole song though.

8. takarazuka - prince rudolph
- Maybe I'm not cultured enough for this... or something. I don't know.

Round 14

1. Merle Haggard - Branded Man
(We were discussing the Mt. Rushmore of female country artists earlier. Well, Haggard's face is certainly carved into the mountainside of male country artists.)

2. Raekwon - Incarcerated Scarfaces
(Possibly my favorite track from the album, which has been a stand-out to me so far while going through the early Wu solo efforts. The beat, the flow, the lyrical prowess. Hard as pavement.)

3. Interpol - Untitled
(This would be the perfect song to just sorta zone out to while driving down an empty interstate at night.)

4. Caro Emerald - Back It Up
(Very enjoyable. Jazzy, vintage style with a modern beat and pop-friendly chorus. A refreshing mix of new and old, though I wish the needle was tilted a tad more toward the retro sound.)

5. George Strait - The Cowboy Rides Away
(I didn't dress up in a cowboy costume at a young age and attend a George Strait concert where several hot cowgirls flirted with me, so I don't have the personal connection. Hell, I haven't even watched Pure Country. Of the male country artists who are considered all-timers, he's probably the one I've listened to the least.)

6. Frank Sinatra - Strangers in the Night
(I'm probably in the minority, but I prefer Sinatra the actor over Sinatra the crooner.)

7. Takarazuka - Prince Rudolph
(I auditioned for this but they turned me down.)

8. Hoobasucks - The Reason
(This is like being accosted by an old high-school classmate I always loathed.)

@Captain Spaulding

Oh, it wasn't a costume, my friend. I was an actual cowboy back then. I was even in a rodeo. I tried to ride a sheep, but the sumbitch threw me. But like Corb Lund says, you ain't a cowboy if you ain't been bucked off.

Hi all - back for the attack for the finals after being out for some minor surgery on Monday. See you in the finals!
Welcome back - should have the final up before I too go to be sliced 'n' diced in the morning. This must be International Minor Surgery week - hope yours went as sweetly as I'm hoping mine does.
