Trying to remember a movie where a bulletproof vest saves the day

Hey guys, i'm new here and I've been looking for a particular movie for a few years. I don't remember much about it honestly but there's a particular scene i think towards the end that i remember.

OK so, there's a man and woman fighting bad guy/s and the woman is shot with a shotgun i believe. She lands in a heap of garbage and is presumed dead. However i think she saves the day because it's revealed that she was actually wearing a bulletproof vest. That's all i remember guys but i'd appreciate all the help possible.

let me just say this movie came out before 2006 because i remember watching it in the UK and i moved to Jamaica in 2006

Seems like every action film ever.

Lethal Weapon 3? Rene Russo's character was shot, fell, and survived.

i always thought it was this until i re watched it. but sadly it isn't

I feel like this is a pretty memorable movie so it's probably not the answer and no vest, but this kinda happens in Kill Bill: Vol 2 (2004).
