Justin Long

Justin Long is that guy from Die Hard 4 and those Mac Book adds.

What are your thoughts on him?

Personaly he is one of my fav actors around. He is in everything these days. The past few movies i have seen, he has been in them. The latest movie trailer i just saw, he was in it. The guy is seriously every were, but for some reason he still isn't A-list.

Anway thats just my opinion.

He's alright. My opinion of him see-saws - I didn't care for Die Hard 4.0 at all. However, he's been rather amusing in DodgeBall and Galaxy Quest, but his small role as a gay porn star in Zack and Miri Make A Porno is probably the funniest (best?) performance I've seen of his.

I liked the fact that he didn't go for the easy option of acting overly gay when he played the gay porn star.

Justin Long was acting way before Live Free or Die Hard came around. If I had the ability to access IMDB at work, we could go over his rather long resume together. Like Iro mentioned, he's been in a few movies: Galaxy Quest, Dodgeball, Accepted, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, He's Just Not That Into You, Jeepers Creepers, Waiting..., Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Alvin and the Chipmunks are just a few of the movies he's been in.

Not to be mean, but I hate it when people post about a particular person, but fall short of mentioning more than just one movie they've been in or really anything of importance. Which leads me into my next thought.

Quite honestly, I think Justin Long is real stable actor. He does some questionable movies here and there, but he is overall very bankable in any comedy. I wouldn't go so far as to call him the next big thing, because I think that's what he's trying to avoid. If you notice, he doesn't do too many big films. Probably his choice, and there's nothing wrong with that. I respect the actors and actresses that choose to fly below the radar, just shows me that they're just trying to live normal lives while trying to provide entertainment to the masses.

Spudracer - are you sure you pulled that list of roles off IMDb? I just checked the cast list they have for Pineapple Express and Justin Long isn't on it (nor did I actually see him in the movie at all). The others, I'm not sure about, but eh.

I don't recall him being in Pineapple Express either.

I think he is trying to become a huge star but for some reason he just isn't making it big time. That is why i think he is very underated. He is in more films than people like Brad Pitt and Angelina but for some reason he just isn't in the A-list section of movie stars for some reason.

Again, I'll stick by my previous statement, that he's probably not wanting to be THAT big A-list actor. Because if he wanted to become a big A-list star, he would have a different choice in films.

Look at the film choices of those who've gone on to become the A-list bankable stars. They started off having small bits in movies, then gradually broke out and took off for the top. Justin Long doesn't seem like he wants that. If you notice, you never really hear anything about him or his girlfriend, Drew Barrymore. Nothing wrong with acting because you have a passion for it and because it makes you happy. Rather than acting for the money.

He's good, definitely not A-list, though. He's hilarious in Dodgeball, but that's really about it. I guess he was good in Die Hard 4, but I don't think he was really meant for that movie. I thought he was great in Accepted when I first saw it, but he's not as hilarious the more times you watch it.

He's a very good actor. He's in some films i really enjoy, such as Die Hard 4, Accepted, Dodge ball and Strange Wilderness. He's got a great future ahead of him.

He's alright. I don't care much for him, though. There's something off-putting about him to me. I used to think it was his name, but I can't figure it out.

Yea I don't think he could carry a film, but he's good in an ensemble cast. Did anyone see Accepted he sort of starred in that, but it had a pretty funny supporting cast. But anyway he was funny in that, and as long as he sticks to comedic roles I think he'll be good.
