"Dancer in the Dark" took a couple of viewings to fully appreciate it's depth. "American Psycho" is such a unique film, considering its content. "Oh Brother..." is my favorite Coen output. Even went to the concert tour of the time, basically the soundtrack of the film performed by the original artists.

I had Gladiator at #6. Saw it in theaters and didn't think much of it, but then I rewatched it at home and it improved a lot.

Thanks for doing this, @mrblond. Great list and a great guide for the upcoming MoFo 2000s Countdown.

Memento is very good. I didn’t like Requiem at all. In the Mood for Love is gorgeous but not my kind of movie.

Interesting results. Thanks for doing this mrblond.

In the Mood for Love is a fantastic, emotionally oblique film with some excellent and colorful cinematography. Requiem For a Dream is able to disturb you so much with the immense level of craft that it feels like an assault on your senses. Finally, Memento is my favorite Nolan film as the engineered deception and plot mechanics are all at the heart of the protagonist's suffering.
