You have a 29-point lead on me going into MNF. You have Calvin Ridley left to play, I have Goff and LaPorta. If Ridley has even a modest night, let's say he only gets his projection of nine points, that means I am going to need 40+ points from Goff and LaPorta, combined. Goff has averaged an underwhelming 13.50 points per game, thus far, and LaPorta a meager 4.5. Could Detroit have an offensive explosion that includes five TDs from Goff, two of them to LaPorta? Oh, sure, that could happen. Is it likely? Uhhhhhhh, no.
At the time I wrote that, my team was looking like a total bust for the week. I did amend it in the post below - probably should have edited the first post instead.

Good mornin'!

I thought Sean was gonna beat Spaulding after the 4pm games, and then I looked this morning Captaons got almost.40.point lead with a player still to go. Derrick Henry with 209 yards and 2 TDs !! 34.40 fps !!!
Maybe history will look on this decade and say old faithful Henry was the best RB, not McCaffrey. It should.

Dreadful. We have a problem handling Henry, but I was expecting a nice close game with us putting up points. Instead Henry put up the stats I was expecting in the game on the first play. Bills basically got shut out. Can’t wait till next Sunday, put this behind us.

I really like Baltimore. Spent a couple of work weeks there years back, and kind of fell in love with that downtown area. Didn’t get to go to any sporting events unfortunately. Have always wanted to go to Camden.

Camden Yards is great. It is easy to see why it became the instant blueprint for most every single MLB stadium that was built over the next twenty-five or so years. Because it was literally the first of its kind - a modern stadium with a throwback aesthetic replacing the mostly horrid multipurpose stadiums of the 1960s through 1980s - just about all of the new generation that came in its wake have improved on the basic formula. I love Safeco in Seattle and Coors in Denver and even the regional neighbor Nationals stadium is nicer. But Camden Yards is definitely still special, and the fact that the warehouse was an actual historic structure that could lend legitimacy to the manufactured old timey-ness of the ballpark itself is still unique, even among its loving imitators.

Definitely worth catching a game if you are here from April to September.

Safeco is great. Genuinely the nicest staff ever there. I got to go to Petco and I think I overhyped myself for that one, I was disappointed. Atlanta stadiums are nice. I really liked Turner, but the new one is cool too. My hot take is I like Tropicana Field. I know it’s sacrilege, but it’s so clean. I didn’t feel like I needed a bath. Haven’t been to either of the NY stadiums unfortunately. They both were built a couple years after I left Long Island.

Definitely going to soon. I keep driving down to Laurel for casting gigs but every time it's either a) the offseason or b) not coincidental with a home game. Hoping that finally changes next summer (probably June), but if not I'll probably just drive for the game alone, since it's only like four hours. But I really hope it just coincides for once.

That said, the O's are out of town the entire first week of June, so I might get screwed on the timing yet again.

It’s over. Good game Tongo.
Oh my God! I never bothered to even look, was so wrapped up in Pete Rose. KW III, you made a believer outta me now. Almost 30 points...did something happen to Achane?! He had a crap game, was he just playing backup?

Miami is down to their 3rd string QB which impacts not only Achane, but also Waddle and Hill’s outcomes.
All three have taken a hit this year without Tua.

I told you before though, Walker is legit.
Had I been able to, I would have grabbed him.

That was insanity. I had a "perfect" fantasy football weekend: for the first time this year I won in all three of my leagues (and yes, all three went right down to the end of the final game - I held off a late charge in one and made another massive comeback in the other). I also won the week in my pick-'em league. I had twelve correct, as did one other person. The tie-breaker is who is closest predicting the total score of the Seattle/Detroit game. She had it at 29 points, I had 55 (the score was 71!). In that pick-'em league there is a weekly payout to the winner. I just won $25, which was my season buy-in.

Boom Chakka-lakka!

I went to bed thinking I was going to pull it off, but it looks like Goff starting lighting it up, which was bad for my MoFo team, but good for my other team, as I have St. Brown.

Well played, Holden!

4-0, last undefeated team, yet 8th most in points scored. Here we go again. This happened last year too, and I didnt even make the playoffs. Theres hope for anyone to win this league still. Dont take my word for it, History says so.

Theyre saying Kupp will be back week 7 at the earliest. When they say "at the earliest" you can trust that as much as the option to "stay signed in". McCaffrey, who knows? With KW IIIs return, and Jordan Mason being the best replacement since Tom Brady, I may have the best RB duo in the league.

Then theres that Mahomes/Kelce connector. Rashee Rice may not be coming back, so Travis could be Patricks go to guy again. Hm. I will not start listening to Taylor Swift. Even I have my limits.

Anyway the seasons still young. Hopefully Fantasy Football and Fantasy Basketball will make the wait easier for next year baseball season. Too bad they dont have Fantasy Baseball for the playoffs.

Looks like I almost got another SNF game with my Ravens season tickets, but CBS said no thank you...

The last thirty or so years of being a Washington Redskins/Football Team/Commanders fan, especially in the Dan Snyder era, has taught me to temper my expectations. Regardless, it is fun feeling the hope that Jayden and the new ownership are bringing. I thought maybe by next year they might take a step towards if not to the next level, but if it is happening now I will allow it!

Fixing to get my ass whooped this week lol...

I'm gonna go with Antonio Gibson tonight. Probably all of my options in my RB2 slot won't score alot anyway. Cam Akers will get the start over Dare for Houston, and Mattisons meh.
Looks like Gibson is set to become the starter sooner rather than later, judging by his coaches comments.
Or at least have an even more increased work load

I saw that He deserves a shot. I dont know if hes ever been given the starting job before, but from this season and seasons pass its overdue. Id feel more confident with him in my Flex than Courtland Sutton trying to catch Bo Nix's mess.
On the side, Lazard has 14 more fps than Sutton or Flowers yet they project he will get half their points everytime. Screw dat'. Aaron Rodgers is the variable Yaboo may not be considering.
