Touching the climactic punch lines in this one is too easy... but I'm happy all the same.

now they were out - they were wild with freedom. They weren't thinking about the slavery of poverty. Or the slavery of welfare and food stamps. The rest of us would be all right until the poor learned how to make atom bombs in their basements.

Fight Club is in my girl friends top five favorites of all time, but nice try!

Also, she loves both Excalibur and Conan....

you can't say that youre trying to say Fight Club is a "chick flick"...just that your girl digs non-traditional movie taste...or, if shes anything like me, Brad Pitt shirtless for 2 hours.

Fight Club is special to me in its own way because it was the movie that helped me to break my mold and broaden my horizons a little bit...and my taste has gotten so much more respectable since!

and, Brad Pitt shirtless for two hours

I am half agony, half hope.
Tombstone. It has a variety of characters that men can identify with.
Plus, the old west was very manly man.

i really don't believe in guy or women flicks...there are some movies that i like that my husband doesn't...these can be war, sports, westerns, or action flicks... he likes sci fi and comic book heros...but rob also likes some chick flics too...more than me sometimes

Sorry... I'll return to my gender crisis now...

I understand that. I also enjoy all types of movies. But that does not preclude the fact that something can be labeled as a "guy flick" based on cultural stereotypes as they apply to a particular genre. And we are talking about something as simple as genres since typical chick flicks are romantic comedies and typcial guy flicks would be actioners, sci-fi, or horror-- or sub-sets of those genres.

I'm not trying to marginalize your diversity in taste, I'm merely asking you to acknowledge something and try to apply your choices to it.

I just asked three women here at work, and they all like sci-fi and fantasy films...

I am not saying all women like sci-fi, but sci-fi is certainly not just for guys. Yeah, I don't recognize any film as for guys or girls...Hell, Amelie is one of my favorite movies...
It sounds like you are fortunate enough to be around women who actually have brains. I think one needs cranial capacity to appreciate science fiction.

Ophelia thinks she better stay cool, calm, collected, bite her lip and walk out of this thread.

I reject the whole premise of "guy movie" and "chick flick", but for the sake of the thread I'll say....

You mess with this guy and you'll get the horns because Scarface is a piece of fan-boy poop.

I would have to guess that it's got guns and babes. Maybe James Bomd movies. Its got the guns, the cars, the explosions, the babes, and alcohol. It's everything I ever wanted in life. I'm not a real big fan of those movies but as far as criteria, I'd say Jame's Bond has them. Whatever.
