I kind of want to see it from the previews, but it looks like Melissa McCarthy is miscast in it though. Since the character is suppose to be a detective, I think it would have been funnier if they had gotten someone more serious and hard boiled, like Liam Neeson or someone like that.

It's on Netflix UK, shouldn't be hard to watch for free

A lot of people have compared it to Meet The Feebles (1989), saying that Meet the Feebles is a much better movie. The puppets in they Happytime murders are better looking though.
