Scariest Scene in a movie

I think the scariest scene in a movie will have to be in The Excorcist when Reagan is in the hospital and then she suddenly sees a white pale face with sharp teeth. I couldn't go to sleep after that one. Also when she chases her mother down the stairs in her spider position. That was really horrible!

I first saw it 18 odd years ago and it still has the power to make those little neck hairs stand to attention.

I think it`s due on DVD pretty soon.

I am having a nervous breakdance
The scene in "Ring" (japanese version) where Sadako crawls out of the tv......

now they were out - they were wild with freedom. They weren't thinking about the slavery of poverty. Or the slavery of welfare and food stamps. The rest of us would be all right until the poor learned how to make atom bombs in their basements.

When Clarice is in the dark at the end of Silence of the Lambs, that was really suspenseful, along with a couple of the scenes in the Sixth Sense and Signs. The scarriest movie I've seen has to be The Shining. But I'm a wuss when it comes to horror/scary movies, so you all will probably laugh at this post.

I'd say when samona crawls out of the tv.

when you see that dead girl in the closet.

all from the ring.

The airsickness bag fills up to the brim with a substance known as vomito negro, or the black vomit. The black vomit is not really black; it is speckled liquid of two colors, black and red, a stew of tarry granules mixed with fresh red arterial blood. It is hemorrhage, and it smells like a slaughterhouse. The black vomit is loaded with virus. It is highly infective, lethally hot, a liquid that would scare the daylights out of any military biohazard specialist.

A scene in Audrey Hepburn's apartment in Wait until Dark. I was warned about the scene and still screamed.

Hmm. I would say any scene towards the end of the excorcist, but mainly the subtle frights, like when the image of Satan flashes up in various places.

I was freaking when I saw The Ring (the much better Remake :P - Flame War starter if I ever saw one) and the mother saw that girl in the closet. I also freaked when she crawled out of the TV.

The Scene in the shining where the Kid is croaking RedRum with the knife in his hand.

The scene in Signs where that guy is watching the home video on TV, and the alien walks past. Sends shivers down your spine first time you see it.

Any scene in any movie anywhere where someone appears in a Mirror. and then disappears when the person looking in the mirror turns around. Scary.

ZEIKEN UR NOT FUNNY!!! THAT WAS A GOOD MOVIE! anywas in 6th sense had some scary moments (like the kid who was shot in the head) Also Signs was pretty scary at times too although once u watch it 598769867 times like i did (i have it on dvd) then its not scary at all.

My all time scariest movie for 13 years straight (ive outgrown it now) would have to be the Child's Play series i mean that lil doll scares me everytime even as i am writing this i get this feeling his right ebhind me bout to jab me in the neck......oh god!

alright the scariest thing i have ever witnessed in the theatre is the dead girl in the closet scene from the ring.the second would have to be the spider walk scene in "the exorcist:version you've never seen before" when the little girl comes sprinting downstairs on her finger tips.

The scariest for me was the one scene in the original Texas Chainsaw MAssacre where that one girl is wandering through the house. And she goes upstairs and falls into a room of bones, and she running away completely losing it. And she runs downstairs and Leatherface throws open the metal kitchen door and lumbers out grabs her and throws her on a meatr hook. That scene always freaked me out.

Also in Glitter where Mariah Carey sings. Nightmares for years.

Funny thing is, I think this is such a campy goofy flick, but my girlfriend is absolutely horrified by the little doll as well. So if it comes on (usually Sat afternoon or something) she starts wigging and we shut it off.

whenever they showed those damn dead girls in the shining. that always freaks me out.
in the original TCM when leatherface and his family had the girls tied up in the house and they were eating then they went to kill her. when i first saw that it freaked me out cuz i didnt know if they were gonna make her survive. that scene is not scary anymore cuz i no wuts gonna happen but when i 1st saw it i was scared as hell.

Signs: the "hand under the door"

I saw this thing on Sci-Fi where this little tribal doll gone evil is chasing some lady. . .eesh.

Exorcist: the scene where she turns her head completely around, and does nasty things with a crucifix. That still gets to me.

Pet Semetary: Zelda, that girl with the messed up face, I can't watch that scene TO THIS DAY!

the Shining: those twins in the hallway, ohhhh man that is still creepy at night time.
