I'd agree with you. Professional, but they asked for nothing 80's. Otherwise I'd (and I doubt I'd be alone) would've included The Goonies.

My first thought is King of the Hill. Simply amazing. Give it a watch if you can find it.

Also check out A Room For Romeo Brass. Centred around two school kids who's friendship disrupt after a weirdo (amazing Paddy Considine) starts hanging around them.

"ET" was my all time best, "In America" was a great film, in both of these i cried like a child lol

Films like "I am Sam","Mermaids","Battle Royale" and "Simon Birch" had well cast kids, that could actually act, as many kids turn out to just be plain annoying in films.

I watched "Harry and the Hendersons" again the other night and I wanted to climb into the TV and kick the little boy who plays "Ernest" in the film! So irritating
