Wow lines! I seem to remember you being lukewarm on The Stunt Man when you first saw it. Perhaps I'm mistaken. Or has it grown on you over repeat viewings?

I love the scene with the dead soldiers on the beach.

I've only seen it the one time but I'd give it another watch. I still have it down as a
, which doesn't seem that lukewarm to me, but then again it would not have made my top ten in a more competitive year. Overall I thought it was a little ham-fisted but I liked where it was coming from and the beach scene definitely elevates it.

Welcome to the human race...
Not a single mention of the Oscar winner for Best Picture of 1980? Ordinary People?
Everyone hates it too much for winning over Raging Bull.

Those are all better than The Fog.

Either way, Carpenter is the man. (Think I prefer The Fog over They Live)
Then you live in a fog.

Not a Fog fan?

I liked it even more the second time around.
I watched it during a commentary with Swan and Honeykid. It was a second commentary (back to back commentaries), but still, I greatly felt its awfulness.
