Oscar Picks

Baker's dozen: Name an actor/actress with 3 things in common

Tools

So, I used to play this game back on imdb boards and I thought it was quite fun. I don't think I've seen the existing thread for this, so I decided to create one.

I think the game rules are pretty self explanatory. We'll be applying "Baker's dozen" system.

I'll start the things off...

Name the actor who...

1. played an attorney
2. was directed by an Oscar winning director
3. starred in films nominated for Best Picture in two different decades

1) PAUL NEWMAN - 1. The Verdict (1982) 2. George Roy Hill - The Sting 3) The Hustler (1961) and The Verdict (1982)

i'm SUPER GOOD at Jewel karaoke
sorry, i'm not sure why the phrase 'baker's dozen' applies if you're only giving three hints? am i not understanding?

You know, the usual...A topic is given and the object of the game is to reach 13 answers regarding the topic. The player adding the thirteenth item creates the next topic.

So basically, you should name the actor who fits the criteria I set in the post above, like I did for Paul Newman. Hope I answered your question.

What thing is being added to in order to get to the number 13? Answers? Facts? If it's facts, that sounds crazy hard near the end. If it's answers, then I think asking for three from each person, but then also going until you get to 13, is probably the issue.

That was the idea. Basically the same rules as that other Baker's dozen movie game thread.

I don't think it should be that hard. Using imdb as a reference for certain film or a year is definitely welcome and often necessary though, when the criteria for actors gets harder. Putting years is also optional.

Which? I listed two things. And the one it sounds like you're describing (answers) is not the one I called hard (facts), even though you also seem to be responding to the part about it being hard.

Anyway, I'll assume it's answers (IE: the next person lists an actor, but the three criteria stay the same until you reach 13 answers). If so, I think three requirements are exponentially harder than one and the difficulty is going to be pretty substantial, especially near the end of each list. But hey, I could be wrong.

Ideally, the facts should be posted along the answer, yeah. Like I did in my first post, with years being optional.

I don't know if I underestimated this game's difficulty, but from what I remember the game flowed quite nicely, back on imdb boards. Like I said "imdb search" will be neccessary later on. And needless to say that set criteria should be reasonable, where posters can actually reach 13 answers.
