Forgotten South American (?)movie about a boxer, ~2000s

Hi everyone !
I need help finding the title of -I think- a South American movie, from I think the early 2000s (maybe end of the 90s). Its about a friendship between an older boxer and his manager. Spoiler alert --> the manager pays his opponents to lose the matches, so that the boxer can rise again. From what i can remember, its very esthetically pleasing, and its got a smooth rhythm. They travel around for the matches, until the boxer finds out about the truth.
