Foreign
1. La Belle Et La Bete (France, 1946)
2. Salo (Italy, 1975)
3, 4 & 5 - Not in any order - Sauna (Finland, 2008), Jadesoturi (Finland, 2006) and Valhalla Rising (Denmark, 2009)

Which versions are they MovieGal?
Count of Monte Cristo - 2002 - best revenge
Pride and Prejudice - 2005 - best romance

Count of Monte Cristo - 2002 - best revenge
Best revenge story I can think of . I liked that and I thought Jim Caviezel was very good. I like the 1998 Gérard Depardieu miniseries best.

Pride and Prejudice - 2005 - best romance
That was better than I expected but the 1995 series seems unsurpassable.

That's an interesting list. When it comes to movies for teens back in the 80s, one that always gets overlooked in my opinion, that is really good, is For Keeps (1988).

I might be able to do a top 5 for each decade... well maybe not the 1950's...
