The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling (on now on HBO... pt 2 is tomorrow)
Heard about this on WNPR this morning. Zero interest in Shandling, but it piqued my interest.

It's really good -- he's really interesting, too. I didn't know this until last night. Looking forward to the one tonight.

I remember liking the script very much.. Quick, snappy, economic - but told a lot.
I've said this many times about The Sweet Smell of Success...the written dialogue is a thing of beauty, it flows like a melody...and with no fluff. Everything said drives the story and characters forward, it's purposed.

for both of those and they are both 1930s films too.
I think everyone should be required to watch "Mr. Smith..." - and for those in public office, they should have to watch it once a week. After all, if you can't have a boy's club, what's the point of having a country? lol
