Solo: A Star Wars Story

Tools

Not the official title ^^ though it'll definitely have "A Star Wars Story" in the title like Rogue One does.

Coming in 2018, 26 year old Alden Ehrenreich has been cast to play a "young" Solo before he joins the Rebel Alliance.

Ehrenreich has only really had one major known movie, Hail, Caesar! under the direction of the Coens and one episode in Supernatural and one episode in CSI.
The rest of Ehrenreich's stuff has been short films, critic's circle failures and box office bombs.

Save the Texas Prairie Chicken
I really wish they would've chosen someone who looks more like Harrison Ford. And that will be all of my criticism for now. I will have to wait and see what the movie itself will be like. Maybe I will change that opinion, too, when I actually see him in action.

_____ is the most important thing in my life…
He looks the part. After TFA, I'm not getting excited about any of the new SW / shared universe movies. My heart can't take it. Being better than the prequels doesn't cut it for me.

I saw a picture of the guy whose supposed to be young Solo. bleah! Another Hollywood pretty boy.

Welcome to the human race...
I never would have thought of Ehrenreich as "another Hollywood pretty boy", but what do I know. He all but stole the show in Hail, Caesar!, so I think he might be able to pull it off.

Its possible Id need too see him with the blaster vest and in the Falcan next too Chewy. They better explain in this movie why Chewy love Han so much. To tell a Han Solo movie and leave out How Him and Chewy met and how he got the Falcan would be criminal. They also have too do the Kessel Run.

SHouldnt someone play a younger chewy in the costume . Im kinda tired that Chewy looks the same even back when he met Yoda in Episode 3. Chewy should look older in episode 8 I think and In The Han Prequel he should look younger.

Chewie is over 500 years old in the original trilogy, I doubt the span of 20 years from Episode 3 to Episode 4 would do much to his appearance tbh.
Maybe a few grey hairs in Ep 7 would be ok though.

Chewbacca is not over 500 years old.

According to this article on the Star Wars Wiki, Chewbacca was born 200 years before the Battle of Yavin (A New Hope), so that would make him about 240 years old at the time of The Force Awakens.

According to this article, the lifespan of a wookiee is about 400 years. That would put Chewie just a little bit beyond the prime of his life.

Then Chewy likely should still be alive maybe he will find new purpose with taking care of Rey or Finn or maybe Chewy could be Kylo Ren s weakness because Ren seemed stunned that Chewy would shoot him.

They should have picked Anthony Ingruber to play a young Han Solo. He played a young Harrison Ford in The Age of Adaline and he can talk exactly like Harrison Ford. In fact, I think he did it in his audition and it's one of the reasons they chose him. Plus, he looks a bit like him.

We've gone on holiday by mistake
Something tells me Lando might lose a certain ship to Han in a card game.

Words cannot describe how pleased I am with this casting news:

Just grab Terrence Howard.

Why? Howard is currently 49, which actually makes him older than Billy Dee Williams was in Empire (42/43).
Does he look 49?
