I've been in touch with the UCLA Library of Film & Television Archive trying to get my eyes on a few KTTV shows of Mort Sahl from 1966 and besides being expensive (more than my last car).

Not surprising, the woman I've been dealing with isn't even in California. I guess UCLA doesn't care about important things, and sub-contracts it out to a 3rd party (ShipQuik) and refers me to some woman in Memphis.

Here's one pdf copy

Before doing any lab work (including screeners), we need to receive a permission letter via mail or email directly from an authorized representative of the copyright owner to UCLA Film & Television Archive, with the following: • Company letterhead • Statement of copyright ownership • Description of footage (title, format, etc.) • Intended usage of footage (screener, master, etc.) • Signature

She gave me the name of the owner of the Motion Picture Information Service... He wants $150 just for the name of who owns the copyright. The holders of this might not give UCLA (or ShipQuik) permission anyway, which means I would be throwing away $150 for nothing.

I checked this site - https://copyright.gov/vcc/

Got this - https://publicrecords.copyright.gov/...&page_number=0

I see a dozen things, but I don't see the shows I want:
Mort Sahl (KTTV, Los Angeles, 5/20/66)
Mort Sahl (KTTV, Los Angeles, 6/17/66)

@mark f - maybe you know something about this. I'd appreciate ANY help. I've spent years just looking for this.
