Underworld

Task #4: A movie featuring vampires.
Task #10: A movie featuring Werewolves.

I'm not sure how much of this film holds up. I always knew it was a Matrix rip off with a vampire/werewolf theme, but I think it my younger days I thought it was "cooler". For the most part, it still looks great and is enjoyable.

A feud between vampires and lycans has been going on for centuries. Selena, a deathdealer, hunts werewolves and on a mission discovers the werewolves are tracking down a human in the hopes of creating a vampire/werewolf hybrid.

I'm surprised how many sequels this film has, but the this one and the sequel Underworld: Evolution are decent action horror films. You don't get to see too many action horror, which is why this one stood out to me back then. Beckinsale looks great, Sheen disappears into the role and Nighy is great as per usual.

I'm cheating and using this as my Vampire flick AND my werewolf flick.

Suspect's Reviews

The only film I've seen which ticks anything off this list is Demon Is On The Island. A 1983 French film which I quite liked and would rate about
because I liked the atmosphere and, indeed, the entire 'Frenchness' of it all.

Welcome to the human race...
I should have noticed this last week, especially since I more or less whiffed the "watch a horror movie once a day" thing after a day. Still, I'd argue Blade II counts towards the "Del Toro film" task so...progress, I guess.

Alligator (1980)

Task #2: A movie featuring a killer crocodile or alligator.

I remember watching this on TV when I was a kid, not seen it for at least 20 years. It still holds up as a great creature feature, so over the top that it could be considered a comedy.

The Silence of the Lambs

Task #11: A film featuring a serial killer.
Task #9: A horror film based in a book.

A classic no doubt. Hopkins is on fire with small screen time commanding the screen. Ted Levine is just the right amount of creepy and Jodie Foster plays innocent so very well.

A memorable film that hits all the right notes and a great adaptation from the novel.

No more write ups on each film from me, it takes too long on my phone.

Task #12: A epidemic infection or disease movie.

Trick'r Treat (2007) -

Task #19: A horror anthology movie.

Dark Water (2006) -

Task #18: A horror remake.

Agreed. Sam is awesome. It's either that or the teacher one at the start for me. The virgin one is my least favourite, i don't think it is bad i just didn't like how it kept returning to it throughout the film and Anna Paquin wasn't very good.
