But anyway, I dug that Guided by Voices track. The abrupt ending made me think I pulled my headphone cord out, though.

It would be a super annoying song for anyone not digging its droney groove. I didn't expect it to rank very high. But hanging next to Fiona Apple, well, hello there and aren't you a fabulous thing with that octopus on your head.



I can definitely live with such fate.



And the abrupt ending caught me off guard too. I think there is a hard cut into the next song on the album at that point, aThey aren't a band well known for their studio wizardry.


I also would have probably ranked the winning track higher, but I was not feeling that chorus. The rest of it was pretty swell though.
