Let's see if I can wash the taste of victory out of my mouth

I did it. It's easy. From first to last in one round. That must be a record.

As a person who hated Megadeth for a million years, before coming to the light and realizing that they absolutely slay when they are on fire, and that only Slayer is (maybe) a better 80's metal band, that David Mustaine's voice is a gigantic hurdle.

A fair point. When a buddy handed me the Rust in Peace cassette in 1990, I recall thinking I should take it out of the player immediately, because the singer was the most annoying thing I had ever heard. HE told me to focus on the music, and by the third tune, I was blown away. At this point, I like everything about the band, and consider that record to be one of the best slabs of thrash ever produced.

Very much like the artist I have consistently considered submitting for these comps, Johnny Winter is another guy who doesn't do the music he is making any favours with his stupid voice. But, also, at the same time it becomes almost impossible to imagine what either of them do without the sound of them singing.

I can't listen to Megadeth because of Mustaine's voice. I have no idea if the music is good and I'll probably never know. If only Dave had got his band a proper vocalist
